Many designers and developers aren’t quite sure what“gamification” means, or how to apply the concept in their work. In fact, someare a bit suspicious of the term, fearing that it is yet another “flavor of themonth.” In this interview, Brenda explains just what gamification is, why it isimportant, and how to use it.
Brenda Enders is Owner and Chief Learning Advisor at EndersConsulting, LLC. She has over 17 years’ experience in designing and deployingcustom learning solutions. Prior to founding Enders Consulting, Brenda was theChief Learning Strategist and Learning Services Practice Leader for SSE, Inc.,where she led the design and deployment of innovative and award-winning customlearning solutions in partnership with Fortune 1000 clients and the U.S.Government. Brenda is an active member of The eLearning Guild, ASTD, ISPI, andCLO Business Intelligence Board. At the Learning Solutions Conference &Expo 2012, Brenda delivered a session called “Gamification: Beyond Badges andLeaderboards.”
