The Learning Guild routinely explores important topics impacting learning leaders. Several recent research projects may be of special interest:

  • The first is a look at L&D professionals who felt their organizations did well during the pandemic. What supported success? What did they learn, and what can they teach us? And what does this mean for L&D leaders heading into what promises to be a bright future?

  • The second shines a light on women in L&D who have, in the spirit of International Women’s Day’s 2021 theme “choosing to challenge,” taken myriad paths to establish themselves as leaders—sometimes in formal roles, sometimes not.

  • Finally, our June 2021 report examined the subject of degrees for those in L&D, looking at the what, why, and worth of pursuing advanced academic work, a topic useful both for those aspiring to promotions as well as those in the role of hiring managers.

In this session, Dr. Jane Bozarth, The Learning Guild’s director of research, will review this important research and examine tips and takeaways that we can use to improve our practice.
