SparkLearn: A Microlearning Platform that Empowers Administrators and End Users

Float has releasedSparkLearn, a microlearning platform that allows for easy publishing andviewing of learning content, including courses and resource documents.

“We created SparkLearn to close that gap between contentcreators and their audiences,” said Chad Udell, managing partner of Float.“Getting your microlearning content to learners has never been easier.”

The platform can import content—such as courses, documents, presentations, and more—that has been developed with tools like Office,Acrobat, Adapt, Rise, Captivate, and other HTML5 tools, as easily as updating ablog post. The LCMS interface is also flexible enough to support contentcreated directly in the system.

“Once your content is in the system, your users can view itin an attractive app for iOS or Android that is branded to match your company’sidentity,” Udell said. “The app handles assessments, and it can provideperformance support tools like search and favorites to make sure the mostimportant content is easily available for your learners.”

All activity in the user app is tracked with the industry-standardExperience API (xAPI). Other analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Flurry,or Adobe Analytics, are also a snap to plug into the system.

“One of Float’s core tenets is user-centered design, soSparkLearn was built for both administrators and end users,” Udell said. “Forexample, administrators should find that the CMS comes with only necessaryfunctions that free it of bloat. Additionally, end users will find thatthey—not the platform—are in control of accessing content and can easily movethrough the curriculum.”

Float representatives will be providing in-persondemonstrations throughout FocusOn Learning 2017 Conference & Expo, June 20 – 22 in San Diego, California. To learn more about SparkLearn, visit Float at Booth 210.
