Becky Burke
VP Learning & Strategic Development, BankWest
Becky Burke is the VP of Learning & Strategic Development at BankWest in Pierre, SD, managing the Learning & Development function and the strategic plan. She has the unique opportunity to strategically align business goals to the L&D program while overseeing adult learning and providing resources and knowledge to BankWest’s employees so they can grow in their careers. During her leadership of the L&D function, BankWest has grown from a simple training function with two staff to a holistic L&D function with seven full-time staff. This transformation has resulted in BankWest receiving several industry awards, including the 2024 ATD BEST Award. Becky was named one of Training Magazine’s 2023 Emerging Training Leaders. She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), and she received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Banking and Financial Services from Northern State University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Strategy and Leadership.
