Mobile Coach Adds Multimedia Messaging Features

Traditionally, Mobile Coach has deliveredcustomized training reinforcement solely through SMS messaging. However, thecompany recently launched MMS (multimedia messaging) features in its platformas well as the support of major IP messaging apps, allowing for a wider varietyof messages that include interactive and visual content.
With the Mobile Coach platform, trainingchatbots known as “mobile coaches” can now send and receive pictures anddynamic attachments (like website links with previews). This MMS capabilityenhances regular text messaging and is compatible with increasing numbers ofsmartphones. Beyond text messaging, popular data messaging apps like FacebookMessenger, Telegram, and LINE are already optimized for multimedia texts, and,as such, make intuitive homes for versatile training chatbots.
Marketing director Andrew Maxfield says,“At Mobile Coach, we’ve always led with the ‘engagement first’ mentality, meaning that if you don’t win the engagement battle, it doesn’t matter how goodyour training or reinforcement content is. Relying on messaging, whether we’retalking about traditional SMS messaging or now IP messaging, engages learnerswhere they are, in the moment. No apps. No websites. Just messaging. Many of ourclients are already using the MMS features of our new platform, and we’re veryexcited to use this new feature in our future coaches.”
“In some countries, SMS messaging may notbe the default mode of messaging between friends. It might even be cost-prohibitive,”says CEO Vince Han. “Our new MMS feature set, combined with our ability toreach learners through a wide variety of messaging apps like FacebookMessenger, helps us meet the learner where they are and sustain an engagingconversation. We’re curious to see how our clients’ various use cases will takeadvantage of this new dynamic feature to make more interesting types of mobilecoaches.”
