This number comes from taking survey data from 323 Canadian eLearning professionals.

The average salary of a person who lives in the US and works in eLearning is $78,723. While this makes for a tasty sound bite that numerous publications and myriad blogs will undoubtedly quote, this fact, by itself, doesn’t shine much light on the eLearning industry. This number comes from taking a huge pool of information – in this case, survey data from 4,374 e-Learning professionals.

The eLearning Guild conducted the 2006 Salary Survey online between February 13th and March 31st 2006. During this time the Guild received a total of 1,538 validated responses. This report that follows is based on these data.
