Website Banner Advertising

Banner ads will be accepted for placement on The Learning Guild and Learning Solutions Magazine Websites if they:

  • Offer learning tools, technologies, products, or services, thus adding value to a visitor’s experience.
  • Do not detract from the general usability or the overall user experience of visitors to www.LearningGuild.com or www.LearningSolutionsMag.com.
  • Do not extend offers for products or services the Guild considers to be competitive.
  • Conform to the Banner Ad Specifications outlined in the remainder of this document

Banner Ad Media

Accepted Banner Ad file types are as follows: GIF, JPG, or PNG. The Maximum Banner Ad file size is 150K.

Pop-ups

Pop-ups, pop-unders, or skyscrapers are not allowed under any circumstances.

Animations

  • All Ad animations must be at an acceptable level that is not disruptive to usability or overall user experience.
  • The Guild reserves the right to determine acceptability.
  • As a guideline, all Ads should include no more than four (4) animated image transitions and all transitions should have three (3) seconds minimum intervals. All Ads must be set to loop no more than three (3) times.

Animated GIF File Specifics

Animated GIF’s must be set to loop no more than three (3) times, and then stop on a non-blank static frame.

Links & URLs

  • All Banner Ads posted on www.LearningGuild.com and www.LearningSolutionsMag.com will be programmed to open a new window.
  • Advertisers must provide the destination URL where they want users sent when they click on the ad. This can be either a direct link, or a tracking link which then forwards the user elsewhere.
  • For click-thru tracking purposes, users will be silently sent through the Guild’s tracking program and then forwarded to the destination URL provided.

Newsletter Advertising in Insider and Learning Solutions Update

Promotional Text & Logo Insertions in Insider

Content provided must include the following:

  • A title that 50 characters or fewer, including spaces
  • A paragraph that is no more than 50 words of text, including the Call to Action
  • A hyperlink
  • Your logo in either vector (AI or EPS) or transparent PNG format or a static image (200 x 200 pixels) in JPG or PNG format

Promotional Text Insertions in Learning Solutions Update

Content provided must include the following:

  • A title that is 50 characters or fewer, including spaces
  • A paragraph that is no more than 50 words of text, including the Call to Action
  • A hyperlink
  • Your logo in either vector (AI or EPS) or transparent PNG format or a static image (100 x 100 pixels) in JPG or PNG format

Content Guidelines for Both Publications

  • Do not use words that trigger spam filters, such as “free”, “buy”, or “guarantee”
  • Specify the exact text that you want to be hyperlinked in your paragraph
  • Insertion titles cannot be hyperlinked. Insertion content cannot contain bullet points, or bulleted lists.
  • Content must not extend offers for products or services the Guild considers to be competitive.

Creative Asset Delivery

  • Assets must be received ten (10) business days prior to deploy date.
  • Advertising content that does not conform to the specifications described on this page will be returned to the advertiser for correction.
  • Delays in deploy date due to non-conformance with ad specifications outlined above will result in lost advertising exposure and do not constitute grounds for refund or deployment extension.

Acceptance Policy

The Learning Guild offers industry research, conference, expositions, workshops, and publications, and routinely conducts member surveys in support of its research publications. Similar activities may be considered, at the Guild’s sole discretion, to be competitive.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellation of order must be received at least four weeks prior to issue date to avoid billing. No cancellation will be accepted without written acknowledgement from The Learning Guild or Learning Solutions Magazine confirming receipt. Any order canceled after the deadline will incur the full insertion cost.
