The Center of Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS)
The Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS) Center seeks a part-time Learning Products & Instructional Design Specialist to support the design and development of training materials, participant resources, toolkits, and digital learning products.
This role works closely with the Director of Training & Professional Development to develop engaging, learner-centered materials that support ARIS training programs, professional development initiatives, and member offerings.
The successful candidate will help translate content and subject matter expertise into high-quality learning assets that can be used across multiple programs and audiences.
Commitment:
Remote
Contractor position
10-15 hours per week
$35-$60/hour, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Create participant guides and workbooks.
- Design learning activities and reflection exercises.
- Develop worksheets, templates, and planning tools.
- Create facilitator resources and training support materials.
- Develop visual learning aids and job aids.
- Assist with reviewing and improving existing materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or adult learning.
- Experience creating learning materials, participant guides, workbooks, toolkits, or professional development resources.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience supporting training, professional development, or educational programs.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
