Thought Leaders Webinar Series - June 12, 2012

Jane Hart
Modern Workplace Learning Advisor
Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies
Although learning professionals are increasingly using social media in training and in online courses, what is more significant is that learners are also making good use of these tools themselves - not just personally, but for professional and organization activities, too. It is clear that more and more people are using social media and networks to solve their own learning and performance problems in the workplace - in particular by connecting, conversing, sharing and collaborating with colleagues both inside and outside the organization. This is having an impact on the way we view workplace learning and how we as learning professionals need to support it.
In this session, we'll talk with Jane Hart about her experiences in, ideas about, and predictions for using social media to support workplace learning.
