You’ve been told that you need to make your materials accessible. Now what? What does that mean, and how do you do it? Do you know where to start or what tools you need to use?

Accessibility (#a11y) shouldn’t be seen as a barrier to our work in the learning and development field. Your reach will broaden when you implement #a11y strategies in your projects—and implementing these strategies is simpler than you think. In this session you'll look at the tools, standards, and resources that can help you better add and test accessibility features in your work.

In this session, you will learn:

  • What free or low-cost tools can be used to enhance your #a11y strategies
  • How those with disabilities use computer software
  • How to use built-in tools to check and correct for accessibility issues in your projects
  • What a VPAT is, and how it’s used to make a software purchase decision
