“What’s the key to good instructional design for mobile learning?” Mobile devices are different from desktop and laptop computers, offering different opportunities for supporting learning and performance. Karen Hyder and Mike Sloat asked Jeff Tillett for some insight into designing instruction for mobile delivery.

Jeff Tillett is a mobile learning strategist and evangelist at Float Mobile Learning. He has presented at many of The eLearning Guild’s conferences, including mLearnCon, the Learning Solutions Conference, and DevLearn. He is a former senior instructional design engineer at T-Mobile and has worked with computers and Internet technologies for the past 20 years.

“Just One Question” is a series of video interviews with thought leaders on the management and application of technology to the field of learning and performance. We record these interviews at conferences and other events that The eLearning Guild sponsors during the year. If you have a question you would like us to ask an expert at a future conference, ask it in the comments here, or send it to me, Bill Brandon – my e-mail address is in my bio.

(Jeff Tillett will be presenting at mLearnCon 2012 in San Jose, June 18 – 21, along with many other experts on the topic of mobile learning design.)
