Many of us are familiar with the ADDIE process to create training content that meets specific learning objectives. However, many of us miss the mark when it comes to delivering a comprehensive learning project to our internal stakeholders and business partners. By incorporating standard project-management techniques and methodologies, we can augment the ADDIE process to deliver a comprehensive training solution that not only meets our learning objectives, but also meets the needs of everyone involved, including the business, stakeholders, partners, and learners. Project management is more than a Gantt chart. Project management considers multiple needs and organizes a process for delivering results. It can be an invaluable tool to help your projects succeed.
Participants in this session will learn fundamental project-management processes from the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) that you can add to your workflow today to help ensure your projects are a success. You’ll learn how to consider budget, quality, risk, communications, and much more when managing a training project.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to capture stakeholder expectations
- How to build a communication plan
- How to incorporate quality control in your projects
- How to create a budget you can meet
- How build a successful project team
