205 Finding the Right Solutions to Complex Problems

11:00 AM - 12:15 PM Thursday, March 16

Leaders often have a tendency to "jump to a solution" before an issue is fully understood. When this happens, a solution may be implemented that has little real impact.

This collaborative session will use a case study to explore ways to prevent solution-jumping by linking solutions to root causes.

Participants will work in small groups to devise a solution. They will then share their ideas and approaches. Finally, Chris will present and discuss the actual solution that Performance Change Strategies deployed.

You’ll leave this interactive, collaborative session with:

  • A visual model to categorize root causes for business and performance problems
  • A job aid to align root causes with an appropriate set of solutions
  • A real-world example to demonstrate how these tools are put into action
  • New peers and colleagues, along with their solutions, to a real-life challenge
