We needed to have offerings in various languages. We needed to monitor mandatory training in a centralized location. We had to manage various contracts, which was becoming cost-prohibitive. The administration of all these platforms was departmentalized and not centralized in the learning and development department.

Partnering with the Go1 team we developed tailored learning paths, regional and bilingual mandatory training, and fully integrated the Go1 platform into our LMS. During her 11-year tenure at EDF Renewables, Shawn Fisher has expanded her love for learning through various roles. These roles include operations and maintenance administrator, a learning coordinator, an LMS administrator, and an HRIS analyst. Her most recent accomplishment was the design and implementation of EDF Renewables' learning management system. Shawn seeks to find new and efficient ways for learners and users to be more effective, whether it be through internal process improvement or strategic vendor engagement.
Heather Shimp
Senior Learning and Business Optimization Manager

Now in her 17th year at EDF Renewables, Heather Shimp is responsible for business optimization related to process improvement and employee engagement. In prior roles, she created consolidation and internal controls departments. She successfully established a learning and development segment for the operations and maintenance teams that focused on non-technical training. She recently collaborated with the LMS implementation team to design and implement the EDF Renewables' LMS. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in offshore wind related to Lean Six Sigma and McKinsey 7-S. Heather has a passion for renewable energy and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
