804 Research Trends 2021

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday, October 22

This review of research is designed to familiarize you with what's happening in the field and help you find ways to be successful with approaches you're considering, or that you're already using and would like to enhance.

This session offers an overview of some recent research conducted and published by The Learning Guild. First, Megan Torrance (TorranceLearning) and Jane Bozarth (The Learning Guild) will review findings about the series of surveys seeking to understand the effects of the pandemic on L&D. Then Chad Udell (Float) will offer highlights from our most recent survey on personalized and adaptive learning. You'll leave with practical, evidence-based advice to help you engage in conversations and apply new ideas back at work.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Ways the pandemic affected LYD operations, budgets, and staffing
  • Impacts of the pandemic on technology roadmaps
  • The skills that enabled effective responses to the pandemic
  • Concerns about and barriers to personalized and adaptive learning
  • Current and future state of personalized and adaptive learning
