722 Easily Add Interactivity and xAPI Tracking on Video

1:00 PM - 1:45 PM Tuesday, October 27

Video can oftentimes be one-sided. The learner consumes the video without engaging with the video. Also, how do we know if the learner is grasping what they are learning from the video? Video also takes a lot of time and money to produce. Often we get the video out there and then never even know if the video is effective or even watched.

Now we can easily take any video and add learning engagement throughout the video.

In this session you will learn how you can add questions that engage the learner during the video and even prompt the video to jump to different locations of the video based on the user's responses to the questions. You see how you could also connect your LRS to the video and have real-time data submit and track video usage so you can see how learners are engaging with the video and if they are watching the video till the end. This is all done code-free and can be deployed on any website. By the end of the session, you will walk away with the tools you need to develop your own engaging and interactive videos that are tracked on your own LRS.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to track any video with xAPI
  • How to add questions to the video
  • How to add pieces of info to the video
  • How to export and deliver the videos to your users
