Dr. Michael Shaw is CEO of SilkWeb Consulting and Development, a custom eLearning company based in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. SilkWeb specializes in a broad spectrum of instructional design services for the academic and corporate training markets, including adaptive, video, social, and microlearning. Dr. Shaw has been active in the eLearning industry for over 20 years, leading and pushing the industry forward through innovative designs and creative learning applications. His research interest focuses on problem-based learning design models and applications in higher education and corporate training. When Mike is not working with clients on the design of their next eLearning course, he is spending time outdoors with his wife Laurel and two daughters.
