Rashelle Tanner

Rashelle Tanner is the director of culture programs and legal learning & development for Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Occulus) where she is responsible for guiding the overall vision and strategy for Meta's legal and compliance learning programs, influencing the culture through compliance initiatives and leading a team of passionate professionals. Previously, Rashelle worked as Microsoft's director of integrity & compliance learning and assistant general counsel, where she transformed the way Microsoft's 180,000+ global employees prioritize trust and integrity in their work through storytelling and popular delivery methods uniquely designed for engagement and retention. Rashelle is also adjunct faculty for Seattle University Law School's Masters of Legal Studies in Compliance and Risk Management program. Prior to joining Microsoft, Rashelle was general counsel & chief compliance officer for an international non-profit, and began her legal career as a litigator practicing labor and employment defense. Rashelle serves on the board of trustees for the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (past chair) and the Seattle Repertory Theater. She has also served on the advisory boards for Meredith Mathews YMCA and Momentum A.C.E.S., which explores the intersections of anti-bribery, anti-corruption, international trade and sanctions compliance challenges on a global regulatory scale. Rashelle is the judicial evaluation co-chair for the Loren Miller Bar Association and is a graduate of Leadership Tomorrow, Seattle University Law School, and Howard University.
