David Smith, the chief technology officer of Brindle Waye, is involved with the day-to-day development and operation of the Design-a-Course (DaC) online learning delivery solution. He led the product to early adoption of new HTML features that support both mobile devices and desktop browsers by translating multimedia content for HTML5 players. More recently, David worked with the Advanced Distributed Learning initiative to define and deliver the Experience API specification and integrated it into DaC. As a self-proclaimed evangelist of this new technology, David continues to contribute to the existing specification and participates in the goal of transforming it into an IEEE standard.
