101 5 Fundamentals to Level Up Your Design Skills

8:15 AM - 9:30 AM Wednesday, February 9

As eLearning professionals, we are often challenged to wear multiple hats and do everything from project management to delivering a final course. With tight timeframes, lack of resources, and reducing budgets, we struggle for time to grow our skills. The design of our content is often rushed, skipped, or just thrown out there for a "good enough" delivery.

In this session, you'll learn how to level up our design skills and learn how using design fundamentals such as grids, typography, and font selection can spark your content design, ways to select imagery, media in preparation for a visual layout, the importance of color choice, and how an emphasis on accessibility and interactivity can improve our learning experiences. We'll explore the use of everyday tools–from PowerPoint to XD to Sidebar.io and Remove.bg—and see how collaborative technologies not only help to share, analyze, review but also spark creativity!
