As rapid e-Learning designers, we often jump right into a project because we’re up against a tight deadline or we have more projects on our plate than we can dedicate a full development process to. As a result, some of our projects might not work or look as good as others, and more importantly, might not get the learners to do what we had wanted or needed them to do. In this rushed process, we also might not get the most out of our subject-matter experts (SMEs) and find they are not the happiest customers, either!
In this case-study session, participants will learn how to jump-start their rapid-development process by leveraging the best practices of Duarte Design’s Slide:ology curriculum. You will learn how to make awesome e-Learning in less time as you see before-and-after makeover slides from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters’ own courses. These are guaranteed 100% rapid examples from the second-fastest-growing company in the world.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to apply the bullets and arrows rule
- How to imagine your learner using the Presentation Slidemap
- How to help your SMEs see the “what’s in it for them (WIIFM)” in diagrams
- How to bring the right mix of emotion and analysis to your course for improved flow
- How to keep the logos off your slides
