Learning & Video Ambassador
Matthew Pierce, learning & video ambassador from TechSmith, has created videos for learning and marketing for over a decade. He is the lead behind TechSmith Academy, a free platform teaching video and image creation for business, which has been used by tens of thousands of users. He is host of The Visual Lounge Podcast from TechSmith, which streams live on Youtube and LinkedIn weekly. Matthew is a regular speaker at multiple learning and development-focused conferences and is a regular contributor to various training publications.
Josh Cavalier has been creating learning solutions for corporations, government agencies, and secondary education institutions for nearly 30 years. He is an expert in the field of learning & development and has applied his industry experience to the application of ChatGPT and other Generative AI frameworks for business and life skills. Josh is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has a popular YouTube channel that shares tips and tricks on Generative AI. He is a seasoned speaker, presenting at conferences like DevLearn, Learning Solutions, ATD ICE, TechKnowledge, NAB, and Adobe MAX.
Customer Advocacy Manager
Bianca Woods is a customer advocacy manager at Articulate. Her past experience includes working on the community and event programming for the Learning Guild, learning and communications roles at BMO Financial Group, and teaching art. Bianca is passionate about how visual design and multimedia can help people learn, loves test-driving new technology, and collects photos of bizarre warning signs.

Beyond the Sky
Danielle Wallace is the chief learning strategist at Beyond the Sky: Custom Learning. Previously, as a marketing leader with Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo, she learned strategic marketing principles which she now applies to learning and development to create compelling breakthrough solutions. Danielle is a sought after speaker at global conferences and her thought leadership is found in numerous industry magazines and publications.
Product Strategy Manager
Daniel Wittenborn is a senior product strategy manager with TechSmith. In this role, he is responsible for understanding how videos and images can best be used to educate and inform learners. Prior to joining TechSmith, Daniel spent eight years at The Boeing Company, most recently as a senior strategic business partner in the Learning, Training and Development organization. Daniel holds a PhD in technology with a specialization in education, as well as an MS in computer graphics technology, both from Purdue University. He also holds a BS in industrial technology from Southeast Missouri State University.
Director of Marketing
Sherri Powers is responsible for the success of TechSmith’s marketing activities, including the development and delivery of the marketing strategy, marketing tactics, and external communications relating to TechSmith’s brand and product lines. Sherri has over nine years of experience working on strategic marketing programs within the video communications industry.
Snagit Product Leadership
Nikky McCollom is a member of the Snagit leadership team, where she is responsible for Snagit’s go-to-market strategy. She has over 10 years of experience in marketing content creation and strategy. Her unique combination of degrees in communication and graphic design help her to understand how to craft messaging that resonates and gives her the skill set to design engaging and aesthetically pleasing layouts to maximize the effectiveness of the message. She has been part of the TechSmith team for over five years.
Master Trainer/Customer Success Manager
For seven years Jason Valade, TechSmith’s master trainer/customer success manager, has trained thousands of people to create Camtasia videos. Prior to his time at TechSmith, Jason spent six years as an educator and has applied that knowledge to several roles at TechSmith, including his roles as an innovation strategist and a solutions engineer. When not training Camtasia users, Jason hosts a podcast focused on being 40ish, and enjoys experimenting with various BBQ methods. He holds a master’s degree in educational technology from Western Michigan University and is a credentialed ATD Master Trainer.
Camtasia Product Strategy Manager
Jake Pechtel is the head of product strategy for TechSmith Camtasia, where he is responsible for the overall direction of the popular screen recording and video editing application. With over a decade of experience in the desktop and mobile software space, Jake works to combine market needs and user feedback into a clear product vision that is focused on helping TechSmith customers be successful by making complex video problems simple and approachable. Jake has been with the TechSmith team for over five years.
Director, Media Sandbox
Michigan State University
Karl Gude is director of the Media Sandbox at Michigan State University. Previously over a 28-year period he ran the information graphics departments at various news organizations, including Newsweek magazine and The Associated Press. Karl is a visual storyteller who, in addition to his work at Michigan State, consults with companies, news organizations, PR firms, scientific institutions, and government agencies, including the CIA, to help them create accurate and understandable infographics. He has given three TEDx talks and presented twice at South by Southwest (SXSW). He is an avid sketch artist, cartoonist, and painter, and writes a column for the Huffington Post.
