More and more people are using mobile devices to access content. You know this and realize that the mobile world is different than the desktop world. You’re ready to take the plunge into designing and developing true mobile learning, but where do you start?

In this hands-on workshop you will jump-start your transition to designing and developing mobile learning programs that also work in a desktop environment. You will learn what works and what doesn’t work in mobile learning. In this workshop you will be in the driver’s seat, taking charge of your own experience or following the lead of the instructor and fellow participants. You will start your day with a lively discussion as you collaboratively design a lesson based on objectives and media that will be made available to you. You will explore the pros and cons of including instructional design features. You will use rapid prototyping techniques to hone your design approach and explore how to develop in both Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.

In this session, you will learn:

  • To apply the correct features to a mobile learning design that will also work for desktop
  • To avoid features that will cause problems in your design
  • How to develop the designed lesson in Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or both
  • How to apply your ideas and questions to your projects

Audience:
Novice and intermediate designers, developers, and project managers.

Technology discussed in this session:
Mobile, Captivate, and Storyline.

Student technology needs:
Captivate, Storyline, or other authoring tool.
