Is this a competition? How will winners be selected?

Hyperdrive is a competition that recognizes the most creative and innovative projects in learning and performance. Three winners will be chosen by our panel of industry experts to represent some of the most exciting projects our field has to offer.

To ensure fairness and rigor, project presentations are judged using a rubric that targets many aspects of the project, including its effectiveness at solving real-world needs. This year, the judging will give additional weight to projects that display extraordinary creativity in the solution they developed and/or the approach they used to create it. You can show this creativity by using cutting-edge technology, but you can also demonstrate it through unexpected solutions or by using existing technology in creative ways. We will share this rubric with Hyperdrive speakers before the event, and you should use it as a guide to help you know what to cover during your presentation.

How will awards be given?

If you are selected to participate as a presenter in Hyperdrive 2016, be sure to stay till the end of the competition. Winners will be announced immediately after the final contestant has completed his or her presentation. In addition, you should plan to attend the opening general session of the conference on Wednesday, where we will acknowledge all contestants and share details about the DevLearn Hyperdrive Winners Showcase to take place later that day.
