Implementations are hard. Everyone goes into an implementation with the best of intentions and then, more often than not, something goes awry. But it doesn’t have to be like that. With a good partner and a plan, implementations can go very right, and dare we say … even be fun?
This session will break down how The eLearning Guild engaged with Wisetail to implement the Guild’s Learning Exchange, a platform for community knowledge sharing. You’ll learn how the Learning Exchange was conceived, and how the Guild and Wisetail worked together to bring the platform to life. Representatives from The eLearning Guild will talk about their thought process, internal planning, launch plans, things that went well, and things they’d change if they had to do it all over again. Representatives from Wisetail will talk about the importance of client “fit,” what they do to turn an implementation into a productive, customized experience, and how that approach influenced the Learning Exchange creation and launch.
In this session, you will learn:
- Tips for approaching the vendor selection process
- Keys to effective vendor/buyer communication
- Tips for risk mitigation
- Considerations when implementing social learning components
Audience: Novice to advanced project managers, managers, and those responsible for the learning function at their organization. Purchasers and vendors alike may uncover some helpful tips as they embark on their next implementation.
