W01 eLearning Project Management

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday, June 25

Are you having a hard time getting subject matter experts to provide course material? How about getting buy-in and support from management? Are you at a loss to organize and manage contractors? Or are you unable to create a realistic schedule identifying when the course or series of courses will be available? If any of these areas are an uphill climb, then this workshop is for you.

You will learn a simple, phased approach that incorporates both waterfall and agile methods to get courses out on time and on budget with SME and organizational buy-in. Included is analysis, planning, executing, and managing. You’ll learn how to design and manage a process for efficient and effective course production; how to identify the types of courses you will produce so you can streamline the process; and how to identify where, when, and how to manage outsourced projects. You will gain tips and techniques for getting your company behind your eLearning projects, and for getting projects out on time and on budget.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to get cross-organizational buy-in on your eLearning projects
  • About the components you need for a successful eLearning project
  • How to implement an effective outsourced eLearning development process
  • Techniques to break your projects into manageable phases
  • Where waterfall and agile fit in, and which techniques to use

Audience:

Novice to intermediate designers, developers, project managers, and managers. No previous knowledge is necessary, but experience building courses is helpful.
