In this closing session of the Compliance Training Summit, moderator Mark Britz will be joined by three experts who will address approaches, technologies, and other considerations for effective compliance training. The floor will also be open to attendees, allowing you to share your own experiences and ask questions of the panel.
Will Thalheimer, the president of Work-Learning Research, is a consultant and research translator, providing organizations with services including smile-sheet rebuilds and research benchmarking. Will regularly shares his work and research through keynotes, free reports, workshops, and blog posts. Will is the compiler of the Decisive Dozen, author of the award-winning book Performance-Focused Smile Sheets, a co-author of the Serious eLearning Manifesto, and a founder of the Debunker Club.

Mark Britz is the director of event programming at The Learning Guild. Previously he worked for more than 15 years designing and managing learning solutions with organizations such as Smartforce, Pearson Digital Learning, the SUNY Research Foundation, Aspen Dental Management, and Systems Made Simple. Mark is also an organizational social designer, helping businesses achieve the benefits of becoming more connected and collaborative to improve learning and engagement. Mark is the author of Social By Design: How to create and scale a collaborative company, and regularly presents and writes about the use of social media for learning, collaborative networks, and organizational design.

Carla Torgerson, MEd, MBA has nearly 20 years of experience as an instructional designer and instructional strategist. Currently head of learning experience strategy at TorranceLearning, Carla dives deep into complex client projects, helping to deliver performance solutions that both consider the learner's needs and meet business objectives. Carla and the team at TorranceLearning help a variety of organizations connect learning strategy to design, development, data, and ultimately performance. Carla is the author of The Microlearning Guide to Microlearning and co-author of Designing Microlearning.
Learning Innovation Leader
Ger Driesen is a learning innovation leader at aNewSpring, the learner experience platform for training providers. He connects people, ideas, and inspiration in the global L&D community. Ger has held a variety of L&D roles: L&D consultant, trainer/facilitator, L&D manager, and entrepreneur. He’s known as “the Dutch L&D trendcatcher” based on his articles, blogs, and tweets, and he is a regular speaker at international conferences.
