501 Pfizer’s Journey from Prescriptive to Learner-Led Training

8:15 AM - 9:30 AM Thursday, November 15

Time-honored training delivery methodologies are giving way to more flexible, mobile, and trackable approaches that leverage applied technologies to enhance the way learners interact with their instructors, coworkers, and extended learning communities. These systems must easily combine and manage an ever-changing mix of company-mandated compliance courses and content packages alongside externally provided and curated third-party resources.

In this session, you’ll explore how Pfizer’s commercial learning team enhanced and extended their traditional prescriptive and compliance-centric learning programs through the introduction of flexible "learner-led resources" that allow learners to personalize their learning experience while making it more engaging and easier to access. You'll learn about the technical complexities and challenges spanning design, integration, security, mobility, and governance that had to be overcome to meet project expectations. You'll also be able to preview the evolution of the solution design through ideation, development, testing, deployment, and support.
