Organizations today are realizing that they must move beyond the 10 percent of learning that we call “formal” and address the entire learning ecosystem. Most agree that learners spend 70 percent of their time learning informally, with an additional 20 percent in collaborative learning. This breakdown is referred to as the 70:20:10 framework. The challenge is that few organizations have in place clear practices for intentionally creating a 70:20:10 learning and performance solution that delivers measurable business impact.
