P07 BYOL: Building a Responsive Design Lesson Using Adobe Captivate

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday, June 7

310/311

Responsive design means that your lessons will look perfect on every device: desktops, tablets, and smartphones. It is not just about mobile; it covers your desktop needs too. This means that you only create one lesson file that accommodates each device’s needs, but that you can also customize further. Adobe Captivate has the most powerful set of responsive design features of any authoring tool. Of course, with power comes the need to learn all the features at your disposal to ensure that you are being as productive as possible, and that your results are the best they can be.

In this workshop, you will learn the features you need to know by building a real lesson that you can use in your work as well. You will also learn about editing images and creating animations so that they will work well on every device. Be prepared to learn and then apply what you’ve learned to your own courses, so that they will work no matter what.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to determine the best kind of media to use in your responsive design lessons and when
  • How to include interactivity that will work well across all devices
  • How to apply effects and animations where appropriate and that will not cause problems
  • How to add practice and quiz questions that will work across the board
  • How to allow the learner to stop working on one device and continue on another seamlessly

Audience:
Intermediate designers and developers.

Technology discussed in this session:
Latest version of Adobe Captivate.

Participant technology requirements:
A trial or licensed copy of the latest version of Adobe Captivate.
