Typical eLearning Authoring tools are great for rapid development, but seem to have limitations when you want to create something very custom to your organization. Learning HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript will allow you to create whatever you want, but sometimes learning code is hard.

In this all day workshop, you will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will learn how to start creating your own custom interactions and what library plugins you can use to make creating interactive content a whole lot easier. You will also learn some tools that will make your life a whole lot easier in building custom HTML5 content. This will enable you to stop thinking within the limitations of your tools and start thinking the sky is the limit with what you can create.

In this session, you will learn:

  • HTML basics
  • CSS basics
  • JavaScript basics
  • Structuring eLearning with jQuery Mobile
  • Making your content responsive with Skeleton.js
  • Structuring your content with FullPage.js
  • Animating elements on the stage with GreenSock

Audience:
Novice to advanced designers, developers, project managers, and managers. No previous knowledge required.

Participant technology requirements:
Any text editor; the instructor will be using Atom.
