201 AI in Learning: Legal Considerations and Intellectual Property Challenges

This session provides a brief but focused exploration from an Instructional Designer and Content Developer's perspective of the potential legal considerations and intellectual property (IP) challenges surrounding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning development and delivery. Participants will delve into some of the questions we should all be asking ourselves and our organizations about content developed and delivered using AI. Participant materials will also include a checklist that can be used to start developing your own policies, guidelines, and end-use restrictions.

- Identify the legal considerations and IP challenges associated with AI in learning environments
- Understand the implications of copyright law and fair use principles in AI-generated educational materials
- Identify considerations and challenges your organization may face
