701 Integrating Real People Into Animated Worlds

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday, December 8

Creating an eLearning course driven by an animated story has a lot of advantages. Animated videos give us the ability to move learners through space and time, put them in relatable situations that unfold in both familiar and new environments, and control every detail of the story. But in a world where human connection is craved, learners want to see and hear from real people. Join this session to learn how to give your learner the best of both worlds!

In this session you will learn tips for scripting narration and sourcing voice talent that allow learners to better connect with your characters and narrator. You will learn ways to record live action video and audio and ways to naturally introduce that media into your animated story. Finally, you’ll learn how to place those real people inside of your animated world using Zoom and Google Meet's virtual background feature to create a green screen recording and some basic video editing to make the magic happen.
