501 Using Campaign Blueprints and Course Maps in Modern Blended Learning

8:30 AM - 9:00 AM Thursday, February 18

Learning doesn’t stop and start with individual events. Today, all learning needs to be a blend. We need to move beyond event-based instruction to a continuous, perpetual design model learning campaign. You scaffold the campaign design with a blueprint and you communicate the ultimate learning journey with a course map.

The campaign blueprint is a learner-centered document that aids in the design of a blended learning campaign and, when finalized, replaces a course description for marketing and program communication purposes. Campaign design blueprints, or campaign blueprints, focus on what the learner will ask, what the learner will do, and how the learner will be assessed. Course maps allow learners to navigate a learning campaign and select the lessons, activities, and resources most pertinent to their needs. You'll leave this session with resources such as a worksheet for creating a campaign design blueprint for blended learning, and a job aid useful for creating a campaign map.
