601 Creating Powerful Personas for Outstanding Learning Experiences

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday, June 11

In times of overloaded schedules, smartphones, and on-demand resources everywhere, it is getting more and more difficult to get through to our learners. L&D programs need to be relevant to our learners to achieve real behavior change and positive performance outcomes. To be relevant we have to know the learner and understand their work, context, and needs.

Marketers have been using personas for decades to draw a picture of an ideal buyer in order to push the right content at the right time. L&D can draw upon this same approach to better design for learners. In this session, we’ll explore actual examples so you’ll see how personas can be applied to learning solutions. You’ll learn how to ensure your design actually aligns with learner personas and the biggest dos and don’ts when creating them.
