301 Blockchain's Potential to Disrupt L&D

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Wednesday, July 17

You’ve probably heard of Bitcoin and how early adopters suddenly became millionaires by investing in this cryptocurrency. The hype about Bitcoin has decreased over the past few months but blockchain, the underlying technology of Bitcoin, has the potential to shake up entire industries and maybe even L&D and HR.

For many, blockchain remains a mystery. Simply, blockchain can efficiently be applied to any areas where data is exchanged, and where identifiers and transactional processes are required. So, what does this mean for processes in L&D and HR? As business and various roles are impacted, what will this mean for how we support new workflows? This session will lead you on a journey of discovery. Using concrete examples we'll take a non-technical deep dive to understand the lingo, the components, and the actors. And we'll discuss whether, how, when, and if L&D will be affected by the blockchain.
