Buying a learning management system (LMS) is not easy. Just ask all the people and organizations who’ve tried, some more than once! In late 2012, The eLearning Guild received over 700 responses to a survey about LMSs. The survey covered three types of LMS products: corporate LMS, academic LMS, and integrated LMS/learning content management system (LMS/LCMS). Interestingly, nearly one-third of survey respondents were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with their LMSs, and product satisfaction appears to relate to the effectiveness of the LMS evaluation and selection effort.

In 2013, eLearning Guild Research published a report on this survey, written by Steve Foreman. Join us as we discuss the survey and report with Foreman, and learn more about best practices for evaluating and selecting LMSs.
