10:45 AM - 11:45 AM Wednesday, June 10

Games and Gamification

505

Building a native HTML5 mobile game can take very complex code to build. This is especially challenging if you want to add elements like flex and responsive layouts, natural motion that interacts with user actions and the device’s accelerometer, take user input, and more. While you may wish to build this type of interactive learning experience, you may not always have the resources, development team, or knowledge to build these types of games.

In this hands-on session you will learn to build interactive games and animations without having to know any code. You will explore a tool called Tumult Hype Pro that enables you to build responsive layouts that flex and change for any screen size to take advantage of any device. You will learn how to build games that use natural motion without using any keyframes or code that can interact with learner actions such as using the accelerometer to control motion of objects.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Tumult Hype Basics
  • How to create reusable parts that behave independently
  • How to create responsive layouts that can flex and change to any screen size
  • How to create games using natural motion and interact with user environment

Audience:
Novice to advanced designers, developers, project managers, and managers.

Technology discussed in this session:
Mac OSX and Tumult Hype Pro.

Participant technology requirements:
Tumult Hype.
