P12 LEGO Serious Play—Solving Complex Problems
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday, March 26
Salon 15
As you continue to look for innovative ways to deliver training, how do you know you are designing the right solutions and what justifies a solution going in the right direction? The real problem may not be evidently clear, but how do you design effective solutions with good evaluation methods to accurately collect data to know whether a solution worked?
An innovative approach is to ask sufficiently unclear questions that explore the deeper meaning of more complex training problems. The LEGO Serious Play methodology is a set of thinking, communication, and problem-solving techniques that provides an alternative model of learning when there is no obvious solution. In this workshop, participants are immersed in hard fun for a richer and more creative experience of solving complex training problems. Every participant is engaged 100 percent of the time, using techniques to build metaphorical models that can help with clearer insights, unlock knowledge, and foster a shared commitment among the group.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to build creative confidence
- How to unlock knowledge by listening to the bricks
- How to discover clearer insights through metaphorical models
- About the value of shared commitment among a group
Audience:
Novice designers, developers, project managers, managers, and directors.
