February 10, 2021
We’ve seen a bulk of Guild research focused on the educational technology field. However, if we take a step back, could the research covering other fields, such as organizational psychology, cognitive psychology, sociology, anthropology, and human resources development, reveal more about the way we learn? Dr. Kurt Kraiger (University of Memphis) and Dr. Kevin Ford (Michigan State University) believe so.
In this video interview, Jane Bozarth talks with Dr. Kraiger about his and Dr. Ford’s proposed science of workplace instruction as “the application of evidence-based principles that have been found to help individuals learn knowledge, skills, and attitudes that impact job performance and organizational effectiveness.” Watch now to learn five categories of instructional principles that contribute to effective learning, and how we can apply these concepts to our own practices.
