P13 B.Y.O.L.: Building Responsive HTML5 Interactions Using Adobe Edge Animate

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday, October 28

Gauguin 1

With the evolution of mobile we have seen many different devices emerge, each with a unique screen resolution. This makes it challenging for an eLearning professional to design and develop interactions that will work and look good on all devices. Building solutions that are responsive to the device has become a critical piece of the puzzle for designers and developers.

In this session participants will learn how to design and develop responsive interactions that work for multiple screen resolutions using Adobe Edge Animate. You will discover how a single design can provide very different user experiences on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. You will learn how to build simple responsive layouts within Edge using percentages for layouts and sizes. You will then explore how to integrate Edge Commons library into an Adobe Edge Animate interaction. Participants will leave this session knowing how to create completely different layouts for multiple screen resolutions using very little code.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Adobe Edge Animate basics
  • How to animate objects in Adobe Edge along the timeline
  • How to build creative interactive movie clips and buttons
  • How to create interactive content with little-to-no coding knowledge
  • How to import and use Adobe Edge Animate in any eLearning tool
  • How to create more advanced interactions including drag and drop

Audience:
Novice to advanced designers, developers, and project managers with some knowledge of HTML/JavaScript and CSS helpful but not necessary.
