Few people enjoy seeing or hearing themselves on video. Most regard editing their own audio or video as a form of cruel and unusual punishment. But if we want to capture authentic stories and informal content without the help of professional actors, we need to find ways to help people be brave enough to be in our videos and feel happy with the final results.

In this workshop, you’ll learn more about how to get the best results when putting people in your videos—whether they’re subject matter experts, co-workers, or yourself. You’ll get tips for how to prepare and coach people to be comfortable on camera (even if they don’t start out that way). You’ll also learn more about video production technology, which can help you ease people into being on camera by helping them look and sound their best. And while you may never convince people to love watching themselves on video, this workshop will help you and the people you’re working with create the video content your organization needs.
