Douglas Weidner

Douglas Weidner, chairman and chief certified knowledge manager (CKM) for the International Knowledge Management Institute, pioneered knowledge management (KM) and has been a KM practitioner, consultant, and speaker since before 1995. As chief knowledge engineer for Northrop Grumman, he developed the acclaimed KM Institute certification programs. Douglas’ recent focus has been on programs for KM Body of Knowledge™ (KMBOK), Knowledge Maturity Model™ (KMM), and Personal Knowledge Manager™ (PKM). A graduate of the US Air Force Academy, he holds an MBA degree in business economics and an MSIE degree in operations research. Douglas’ eLearning roots? He created an interactive video course in 1988. His favorite module? “Rethink Learning.”
