Alison Levine

Adventurer and Faculty at West Point,

Alison Levine is an adjunct professor of behavioral sciences and leadership at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Ms. Levine was born with a life-threatening heart condition, and as a teenager was so unwell she wasn’t allowed to climb stairs. Eventually she received surgery that changed her life, and since then has become one of the most experienced mountaineers in the U.S. Her career prior to West Point encompassed healthcare, technology, and finance. She is the founder of the Climb High Foundation, a nonprofit which trains jobless women in Africa to become trekking guides and porters for their local mountains.
