Instructional designers often create page-turner eBooks just to get content out to learners. This can help deliver content quickly, but it winds up being a boring experience for the learners. We need to find ways to engage learners via a review or game to help them learn the content by doing instead of just reading. Take your boring page-turner content to a new level with engaging interactive iBooks Author books.
In this hands-on session you will learn to use iBooks Author to create beautiful multi-touch eBooks for iPad without being a programmer. You will discover how—with galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3-D objects, mathematical expressions, and more—these books bring content to life in ways the printed page never could. You will leave this session understanding the basics of how to easily build engaging learning iBooks and how to go beyond what is available in iBooks by building HTML widgets using Adobe Edge Animate.
In this session, you will learn:
- The basics of iBooks Author widgets
- The basics of Adobe Edge Animate
- How to build custom interactions within Adobe Edge Animate
- How to export your Edge Animate interactions to iBooks Author
