Delivering results from a team or organization is one of the primary responsibilities of managers. The key to sustained effectiveness is engaging people in disciplined methods of achieving critical organization or business goals. One set of tools that assists a leader in effectively implementing these disciplines comes from The 4 Disciplines of Execution, by Chris McChesney, Sean Covey, and Jim Huling. Delivering general instructor-led training on this basic method only introduces the ideas; effective implementation of these methods requires ongoing support and follow-through.
In this session participants will explore the primary measures of transfer to job performance and how application of these disciplines are monitored and supported. You will learn details on each of the measures including clearly defined wildly important goals (WIGs), lead indicators for each WIG, how to display the current and targeted results on each measure, and how to review performance against these measures. You will also explore various ways that performance support can be used to support these factors.
