David Berg
Belastingdienst-Dutch Tax & Customs Administration
The Academy of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration has a history of providing mostly formal training. The Academy is shifting towards a 70:20:10 framework-based strategy, which includes facilitating employee mobility, learning on the job, collaborative learning, and higher effectiveness of formal learning. The consensus is that informal learning should play a more prominent role in the organization.
In this session you will learn how we defined our requirements for the IT learning infrastructure based on organizational strategic frameworks, taking into account the Academy’s vision on learning and development. You will explore the challenges of establishing an innovative eLearning environment in collaboration with the IT department, and how we negotiated between the Academy’s functional requirements, the IT department’s technological requirements, and the political and strategic considerations.
