Most learning in organizations happens in the flow of work, but many existing learning applications require people do new things, and few capabilities exist to record meaningful learning-related data from the things people are already doing. The Experience API (xAPI) makes it possible to record learning-related data from anywhere.
This session will cover practical questions of what it means to collect data from enterprise systems and how to do so such that the data plays nicely with other data. It will examine detailed information about enterprise integrations deployed at actual companies. It will explore significant practical issues for the use of the xAPI to integrate data from other enterprise learning-related systems that basically no one else is working on, and integrate them into a practical framework.
