Creating eLearning courses has many different moving parts. Yet clients (internal or external) want high-quality courses quickly and at a reasonable cost. When you have a lot of courseware to produce, you want to make sure your production process is both effective and efficient. You can increase your quality and decrease your production time and costs by having a system to train, track, and monitor the performance of everyone on the team.

In early 2013, Artisan E-Learning set out to evaluate and improve their production process. They mapped out the process and analyzed what was working and what wasn’t. While many things were working well, the company was able to identify redundancies, remove bottlenecks, increase consistency, improve team skills, and implement quality checks. As a result of the analysis, they determined best practices, documented procedures, established clear roles, and created tools, job aids, and checklists to help at every single step of the project process. In this session, they will share the results of their analysis, including the trouble spots they found and the changes they made to the process. Participants will also get access to many of the tools and checklists created in the process.

  • How to create systems for effectively managing production
