The popularity of mobile devices has IT departments scrambling to support and integrate them, often with little consideration for effective training and adoption. Training departments are being asked to deliver employee training to individuals with varying skill and experience levels with mobile devices. Corporate training has been geared toward traditional delivery formats such print, classroom, and PCs. Training organizations face considerable challenges with planning mLearning that supports them in keeping pace with the frenetic pace of technology change and implementing a strategy capable of sustaining them in this mobile marathon.
Participants in this case-study session will learn about the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s experience with planning, designing, and implementing an mLearning solution. You will hear about the critical considerations and lessons learned and how the team has implemented an mLearning solution for iOS devices. You will see a technical demonstration of a cloud-based authoring environment that supports delivery of mLearning to the Apple iPad.
In this session, you will learn:
- Key short- and long-term considerations for planning and deploying mLearning
- Critical lessons learned with implementing mLearning
- Cloud-based authoring technologies that support rapid delivery of mLearning to the iPad
Novice and intermediate learning professionals who are familiar with tablet devices and mobile applications and who have a general understanding of instructional design, ADDIE, and system lifecycle processes.
